Diana Botelho Vieira was born on the São Miguel Island, Azores, in 1984. As a pianist, she has given concerts in Portugal, Spain, France, United States and South America. She is prize winner of the Prémio Jovens Músicos competition, having also received other awards such as the Búzio Revelação (Expresso das 9) and Prémio Cultura (Correio dos Açores).

She has performed as a soloist with the Conservatório de Ponta Delgada Chamber Orchestra, Metropolitana Academic Orchestra, and Cascais e Oeiras Chamber Orchestra, with the conductors Yuri Pankiv, Jean-Marc Burfin and Nikolay Lalov. She has also given concerts at various festivals, such as: Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice (Boston), PianoFest (Chicago), Embassy Series – Uniting People Through Musical Diplomacy (Washington/ DC), Meadowmount School of Music (New York), Festival Ibérico de Badajoz (Spain), Dias da Música (Lisbon) and Temporada Artística dos Açores.

Diana Botelho Vieira performs and promotes Portuguese music, having released her first album with piano music for children by Sérgio Azevedo. She teaches at the Academia de Música de Lisboa.

She studied piano with Irina Semënova (Conservatório Regional de Ponta Delgada), Alexei Erëmine (Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, Lisboa) and Ludmila Lazar (Chicago College of Performing Arts).
