With SBbR, Short Waves 1985 was chosen by Merce Cunningham for his choreography Fabrications. The present version of this work was presented live at the Lincoln Center, New York, in 2002, with the participations of Takehisa Kosugi and Christian Wolff. Beyond the acoustic instruments (flute, violin and piano), Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta used sound materials from the Amazon forest and from radio waves. Kosugi and Wolff didn't play in the original version of this work.
