This is a piece about breathing, about the air we breathe, written in the roaring year of 2020 and premiered at a time when the musicians take the stage with masks on their faces. In this work, being scored for a wind instrument in the foreground, the soloist assumes himself as a metaphor for this condition, looking for points of balance and harmony with the orchestra, that can salso be heard as a kind of amplified "lung".
