Universus is based on a theory of physics about parallel universes. The title reveals the opposition of two elements ("versus") and at the same time implies the word Universe ("unus"). The expression literally means "transformed into one." This theory states that if there is a reality, it derives from it other parallel realities that, never intersecting, absorb common elements with the main reality, but also have other elements that are introduced or transformed. Here reality is always presented by the oboe and the english horn is its parallel reality. In this way, the piece was written by sections always from the oboe and the english horn appeared as a result of the first one. The lighting, gives to the public a musical vision of the work, as well as the theatre that is unrolled simultaneously with the music.
