Program Notes
Three Moments of Longing Waltz and Guitar mixes the expressive lightness of Brazilian popular guitarists/composers like Canhoto and Dilermando Reis, with the harmonies typical of Paulinho Nogueira, Toquinho and Baden Powell: first influences in my music. Vague Cantilena, like someone singing far away – it is a little flashback derivating from the three first notes in Milton Nascimento’s song Cio da Terra. Being a free form, it evanesces like any memento, never concluding itself.
