Program Notes

A commission by Coro Lira, the piece was based on a poem by António Manuel Pina. The content of the poem suggests a lot of onomatopoeic sounds which are explored through the piece supported by sparkling sounds in the piano and the glockenspiel. Further contrasts are made through sections of more stability played by an ostinato on the piano.
