He obtained his Diploma in Music Composition at the Conservatory of Lisbon (2000) and, in 2004, the Diploma in Electronic Music at the Music Conservatory of Venice, Italy. He has participated in several courses and seminars of music composition in Lisbon, Paris (IRCAM - '99) and Darmstadt (Summer Courses - '98 and 2000). With a scholarship from the Italian Government and oriented by Prof. Alvise Vidolin, he developed a research project on the computer music of Luigi Nono's "Prometeo", both at the Center of Computational Sonology of Padua, and the Luigi Nono Archive. He participated in the semester seminars of Aesthetics and Iconology with Giorgio Agamben at the Universities of Verona and Venice, respectively. Between 2004 and 2006 he teached in Ar.Co school of arts (Lisbon) in the Video/Sound course. He concluded, in 2007, the graduation in Musicology at New University of Lisbon. Beyond electronic music composition for fixed digital audio media he also works, presently, in the development of models for the performance and composition in real-time.
