This work, Two Movements for String Orchestra, belongs to the moment of my career when I assumed the influence of European music on my aesthetics and my way of creating. Here my passion for the counterpoint of baroque textures coexists with the dense and fluid harmonies of ultra-romanticism, and I assume a neoclassical severity as the necessary means for a coherent structuring. It is intense and sad, and reflects the melancholy that permeates our soul when it is no longer possible to return to the time of dreams and idealizations.
