Electronic music, generated by the Behringer Pro-1 synthesiser, Analogue Sessions was originally composed for stereo, but is broadcast in this concert for 8 channels. Analogue Sessions is made up of 3 different movements, with session "1.1" being the second composition session using this synthesiser. Common sounds from the instrument are explored, such as noise, various modulations through the use of a Low Frequency Modulator (LFO) and a (self-imposed) montage and use of the basic techniques of concrete music such as loop, reverb, time-stretch and time-lag, thus exploring the structuring elements of music, such as rhythmic sensation and melodic variation.
