Program Notes
This piece presents a narrative based on the history of the Bouça area
and what is imagined to have been the environment of the area in the past, during the construction of the neighbourhood and in the present. As such, the passage of time is evident in the material of the piece, which is divided into three interconnected sections in which the organic, the industrial and the city environment of the present take centre stage. These three elements are in tension until they are allowed to coexist in the last section of the piece.
