TêTrês (2001). The title of this work allows two kinds of references: on the one hand, a kind of apartment (a living and three rooms), on the other hand, one can read it as Tetris, the computer game having for goal the tangle of small parts with different shapes as fast as possible.
Thus, in TêTrês there are situations and remissions between its various components, which entangle and interact creating zones (places) that move in time, rather than forming distinct movements.
These different situations receive some names freely associated to those of a particular (and peculiar) house, whose denomination makes sense only in Portuguese (1).
Although it is possible to freely relate the music to the fore mentioned situations, one must stress that TêTrês is not a programmatic work: it stands as an essay in compositional design for the loudspeakers orchestra conceived by Miguel Azguime for the Musica Viva festival.
