The intervals are quantifiable proportions over which we can draw, more or less secretly, objects, shapes, planes; intervals are distances inscribed in the structural silence of the musical language; intervals are, in its essence, the space. The work about the intervals is therefore a work of reduction: when the interval becomes part of an event, it achieves a potential – abandoning an infinitude of possibilities. At this moment, the distance becomes the duration, the reduction becomes a reanimation: inert bodies, potentials, become gestures, exist at time – like temporarily saved cadavers, which only live in the time of their final soliloquy.
