Euterpe Guitar Duo is a chamber music group formed by the Portuguese guitarists Pedro Baptista and Titus Isfan.
They met in 2013 while classical guitar students of Professor Dejan Ivanovic at the University of Évora. They met again in 2017 while teaching classical guitar at the Montijo Regional Arts Conservatory. In 2019, they founded Euterpe Guitar Duo. As a duo, they had the opportunity to work in masterclasses with Júlio Guerreiro, Sanel Redzic, Pedro Rodrigues, José Mesquita Lopes, Andrea De Vitis, among others.
They have been dedicating themselves to promoting the newest music for this formation, written by some of the most famous Portuguese composers. Among their collaborations are names such as Eurico Carrapatoso, Cândido Lima, Nuno Guedes Campos, Nuno Peixoto de Pinho, and younger generations of national composers.
Euterpe Guitar Duo has given recitals at festivals and tours across the country. Their goal is to disseminate a diversified repertoire reflecting the multiple aesthetic currents of today's musical panorama.
Their concert programmes include central repertoire for the 2-guitar formation, with works such as Tonadilla by J. Rodrigo or Tango Suite by A. Piazzolla.
